Wellness & Stress Management Series

Our standard workshops will continue to address issues such as stress management, procrastination, and time management. Please join us for informative sessions and opportunities to engage in Q&A about general mental health concerns and tips on coping and self-care.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

QPR Training

Question. Persuade. Refer. The three simple steps that anyone can learn and anyone can use to prevent suicide and support someone in need. Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.

Suicide Prevention

This community-based approach is grounded in gatekeeper training and working together to end suicide. The initiative engenders close collaboration with campus colleagues, students, and the entire Georgia Tech community.

Let's Talk

A program that provides easy access to informal confidential consultations with Georgia Tech counselors where counselors hold walk-in hours at various sites across campus throughout the week.

Satellite Counselors

Satellite locations improve accessibility for students by providing counseling in places where students spend most of their time. Counselors are available in 5 colleges across campus with offices embedded within the college or school.

Peer Coaching

The Peer Coaching Program (PCP) was developed by the Counseling Center to offer an innovative way for Tech students to access a unique type of support to facilitate academic and personal success.  The PCP trains Tech students to provide one-on-one support and education to their GT peers and offers Peer Coaches ongoing supervision in the provision of these services.

Student Ambassador Program

The Student Ambassador program started to give students an opportunity to partner with campus mental health professionals to increase the utilization of mental health and well-being resources on and off campus. The Student Ambassador program is looking for diverse students who are passionate about mental health and well-being resources.
